So Many Things!

Wow. This week is going to be a busy one. So many places to go!
I'm really excited with the response we are having with our first web seminar. It is going to be a great success. Thanks for your support!

There are still a few connections available, you might want to hurry and register if you haven't done so yet. The link to register is: http://www.buzzbooster.com/webinar.htm. Kathleen Gage will be the speaker, and she'll talk about dealing with changes in life and in the workplace. People will attend the seminar from their computers and will be able to interact with other viewers as well as the speaker the enitre time. How cool is that?! You gotta love technology! :)

Kathleen is also offering BuzzBoosters a great deal with her last book and some super bonuses. You can check it out at: http://boyayan.streets.hop.clickbank.net

I'm counting the days to attend the Luminary series. I think it is going to be awesome. I'll try to take some pictures to show you afterwards.

Technology Breakfast

Yesterday we attended the Technology Breakfast.
The place was crowded with people interested in knowing the new actions taken by the Governor’s office of Economic Development. It was held at the Wells Fargo building that has the most amazing view of the Valley. We wanted to take some pictures, but as you probably know, yesterday was a very rainy day. Here are some of the pictures of the event.

Networking between the Economic Group and the Universities was one of the main topics.

Here is Pat Vaughn talking about the Talent Acquisition Programs.
Its motto is: Retain existing talent, Attract essential talent, Develop emerging talent.
If you missed this event you might want to check out www.tapintoutah@utah.gov.

Ice Cream

Today I'd like to refer a book.
The name is " The Ice Cream Maker" by Subir.
It is a book about how to achieve quality in your company. It is a very easy to read, small book with lots of useful tips that all kinds of businesses can apply.
It is pretty new but you can find in any book store.

Questions

There is a question living in my being for months now, maybe you can help me.
How do you track word-of-mouth? - We go to so many places, talk to so many people, distribute flyers, etc.

We know we have a good result, but how can we prove it?
Asking people to pass a small research during the events doesn't work. Either they don't do it or when they do, they don't send it to us. - Any ideas are welcome. Keep thinking. I got to go to a meeting now...

I Like Sundays...

I like sundays because i get to watch Crossing Jordan. Yes, i know... not quite a good enough motive to make sundays remarkable, but i honestly long for 9 p.m. to come so that i can watch it! - Sundays have a tendency to drain the energy of us BuzzBoosters (unlike mondays that have a tendency to be quite tedious days), so when the show starts i know that i can sit and watch in peace while we happily blast out our most awaited newsletter of the week (the buzz newsletter for those of you a little challenged who are still recovering from the sunday-night-syndrome).

Well, let us not divert from the real reason why i decided to sit and type (although i feel like i should leave you with a disclaimer that 'divert' is what i do best! I very easily deviate from whatever it is i have to do... so yeah, it's not only in type, i do it very well in person too!). Well now i wonder if there ever really was a 'real' reason for this post!

Hmmm like i've learned with everything else in life... let's just move on regardless of... well, my forgetful mind, really.

Please join me as we jump into the 'Buzz Time Machine' and turn back to friday, october 21st, 2005 at around noon... "chhhiiiisssuuuuummmmmg ploft"

Well well well (wiping off the dust), what an event that was! According to my count 50 people in attendance... oh what a good feeling that is, when people are having to actually search for a place to sit... a hidden chair between two people who intensely talk and network with each other! I take off my hat and applaude to those who's efforts made that happen!

Hey, don't mind my silly-ness... I'm talking about the Midvalley Chamber Luncheon, how could i have forgotten to mention that?!!

May i mention that i do not applaud it simply because i had some involvement in it... wait a minute, what am i saying?! Let's be honest we're among friends! ... i do recall being referred to as 'the one who's full of herself' during several occasions in life!

Ahem... uh-oh these darn fingers of mine are betraying me! Noooo! Typing my own uncontrollable thoughts! How dare they? Bad fingers bad fingers, no donuts for you! - See? now the stomach has to suffer because of you fingers! (Woooow that was waay off, please pardon my lame sense of humor)!

Anyway, that was quite an event. Kathy Loveless was our speaker, and it couldn't have been better... what great content she had to share with us! The new faces that attended the event, and the faithfull faces who once again were there to take advantage of such opportunity... thank you and thank you! I'll see if i can later post on here some of the pictures that were taken. That'll be fun don't you think?

Oh and that reminds me! Underneath every post there's this link that says "comments", hey do me a favor will ya? Click on there and make sure you leave me a a little comment? Human warmth calms my heart and makes me smile! I feel like i need to smile some more, so will you give me a hand? Aaaah i feel better already! I'm squirming... the corner of my lips are already tweaking to the sides... leave me a comment and guarantee a big smile on my face! ;)

Hi! Welcome to BuzzBlog!!

We’d like to use this space to comment about events we all attend, to refer good things, businesses, and to share ideas.

At BuzzBooster we hope that this blog will help us create relationships, better businesses, and to live better. - All comments are welcome!!!

I’ll start off by telling you about a great experience I had yesterday. I had a foot bath!!! (Yes, I do wash my feet everyday) but I’m talking about something else.

You put your feet in a bucket with warm water, and inside there is a device called Aqua-chi. If I understood it right, what this machine does is send small electrical impulses into the water and it cleans your body from heavy metals, yeast etc. It helps to keep you healthy.

I was invited to try it by a very sweet lady… and I like to try new things, but I’m not a person that is into a lot of that “woo-woo” stuff. So, I didn’t expect much. But I left the place quite surprised.

After half an hour with my feet inside that water (that used to be clean in the beginning), it had a lot of yeast all around, and the water was dark brown.

Again, my feet were clean before I put them into the water. - Nashlah also tried and her water was even darker than mine in the end. I touched and analyzed that device in every possible way I could, and found nothing that could contaminate the water.

I didn’t feel anything different inside me. Seems like everything is still there, but if all that dark powder was there, I want to get rid of it. I didn’t have time yet to Google this machine, but I did like it and I’ll try again next week.

Another great experience I had was the ASTD (American Society For Training And Development) expo. Very well organized. We made a lot of very good contacts. I wish though that it could have been a little longer... maybe from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - I hope next year all Buzzboosters will take the time to visit this expo!
