Let's Play?

It is today at 10AM.
Theg ame will be available for a few people.
We are really excited with this launch.
We deal everyday with people bringing their business online and getting overwelmed with all the tools they could use if only they knew how.
Well, with a game, they can learn and apply in a safe enviroment.

Every day hundreds of new businesses come online and most of the time this is an overwhelming experience. Words like blogs, podcasts, wikis, pay-per-click etc, sound like greek for most people.
Even people that have been online for a while don’t always understand the possibilities that the internet allows them and how they can build multiple streams of revenue or grow their businesses online.

The game is based on the principle that “you have to be before you can do, and you have to do before you can have”. This principle teaches people to work on self-improvement, research, recruiting and retaining while working online.

While playing, people understand this principle and learn strategies to apply online to grow their businesses. They also understand what internet marketing is and how crucial it has become for businesses.
For internet marketers, it is a great way to show their families and children what their work really is in a fun way.

Topics like blogs, affiliate marketing, wikis, podcasts, online videos, virtual book tours, list building, membership sites are all covered by the game.

Check it out at 10 at: http://www.whatsthenameofthegame.com

Internet Marketing Game

I'm going to talk about the real game.
An Internet Marketing BOARD Game.

Most people would agree that game-based training is the most effective and permanent way to learn; especially with the ability to be able to remember and implement up to 90% of the information you learn!

Have you ever struggled to understand how Internet Marketing REALLY works? There are so many tools and terms like pod cast, wiki site, affiliate programs… well, you get the picture.
And even when you know what they mean, do you know how to create a strategy to use these tools and grow your business?

Putting it all together is the hard part. We read about how to be successful on websites and in e-books; we hear about how to be successful on tele-calls and audio programs, and we learn about how to be successful at live seminars and classes… but all that information piles up in our heads and we wonder how to put it all together. In short… how do you do it?

Well… I’ll tell you that I think the most effective way to learn is through game-based training.

Maybe you’ve heard of games like Cash-Flow that teaches about real-estate and stock investing, or the Residual Income Game—a game that teaches direct selling skills—that is sweeping the network marketing industry.

The fact is that when you are playing you can experience how things work, you see how the money comes in and how social media can be used to skyrocket your business.

It is not because we helped create it, but I do think it is one of the best training tools for businesses coming online and for marketers that need to show people the potential the internet has.

We'll be launching the game on November 28th.

You will not want to miss this one.

Right now, you can try to guess the name of the game and maybe get one for free.

Guess the name of the game now!

Why start an affiliate program?

I get this question a lot.
Here are few reasons why:

There are HUGE benefits to promoting affiliate programs with your own homebased Internet business. Let's look at 5 of the best reasons to join affiliate programs.

A.No Production Costs: The cost to develop and produce a new product is prohibitive for almost anyone who wants to start a home-based business. With affiliate programs, you have no costs related to the products.

B.Low Set-up Costs:Starting a home-based Internet business is relatively cheap if you compare to a brick and mortar store. Basicaly what you need is a computer.

C.Affiliate programs, on the other hand, are usually free to join, and geographic market reach is limited only by the affiliate's ability to promote his website.

D.Sell Almost Anything:There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs selling every product under the sun.

E.No Sales Experience Required: Usually the companies you affiliate with will provide training material.

Wiki and You

We just started using a new tool.
It is a wiki.

A wiki is a site where other people can go and help build, and add content. The wiki we did is about internet marketing, social media, and ways to grow a business online.

Could you go there and leave a tip about something that you use online to grow your business? I'd like to have a great directory for people to learn about Internet Marketing. Can you help me do that?

Go to: http://buzzbooster.wiki.com , create an account and write.

Tech Etiquette

Today some tech etiquette for you:

Put the blackberry away during meetings to let people know you are giving full attention to the proceedings.

Just because your bluetooth headset is unobtrusive doesn't mean you can interrupt someone you're speaking with to take a call.

It is also polite to pull out your iPod headphones (both of them) when you are talking to a colleague.

PRSA again

PrSa ended yesterday. It was a very good event.
On the last day they had several events related to social media.
The one on blogging was packed with people sitting on the floor and outside the door.
This shows the big interest that there is in this area and I'd say that the slow adoption of pr agents to this tool may be simply a matter of more education on the subject. Most know what a blog is, they have an idea on how it works but don't fully grab the possibilites that are related to their profession.

PRSA in Utah

We just spent the day at the PRSA (Public Relations Society of America). it is the first time they have their convention in Salt Lake. The place was full, PR agents from 26 different countries. Lots of Universities. It was really very interesting and we were able to do some very good contacts.

From all the exhibitors, only one, besides us, had anything to do with social media. In fact, we were talking on how the PR people move slowly into this area, almost being a little resistant, when in fact, when you mentioned social media to any company, they would always say- we are looking on starting a blog, podcast etc.

Really, I ran out of printed material before lunch time! Things are changing, so my question is, why not adapt? Tomorrow there is more...
