How often should I post on Social Media?

Monday, June 20th, 2011 by shahar

This is a question we get everyday with some variations.
How often should I put a video on YouTube?
How often should I blog?
How often should I Tweet?
How often should I update my status on Facebook?

I can tell you how often you should post on social media environments when you are doing it for business. There is no rule on this topic but some tests have been done for optimum results.

The world is not going to end if you cannot follow one of them.
Remember social media marketing is a process and you have to set your goals to get attention from your market, not only visibility.

Also take into consideration that you have to provide good content most of the time and 2% of the time have a call to action. Your audience needs to be educated on the fact that you are doing this for business and they should not expect everything for free.

i know this is a touchy point but remember you are marketing a business and businesses need to have sales in order to have profits. Lead with good content but remind them of your business.

Here it goes:

Twitter: 8 to 18 posts a day. Twitter has a short shelf life.

Facebook: No more than 3 posts.

YouTube: 3 a week (for generic videos, not a Web Show)

Blogs: Once a day.

YouTube Marketing Tips – Using Playlists

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 by The BuzzBooster Team!

This is part of a post by Reelseo that I think you guys would benefit from.

You’ve probably seen playlists in action. Many of you have likely created one for yourself. And YouTube thinks you should all be using them, because Playlists are fantastic ways to guide your new viewers through your content the way you prefer them to experience it. You can help them discover older videos they might have missed or highlight your personal greatest hits.

Here’s a real great nugget you might not have known: Playlists are indexed separately from individual videos. Which means that you double your chances of a video being found through search if you have it in a playlist. Outstanding. (Don’t forget to add the proper metadata to your playlist to increase its chances of being found!).

They also recommend creating themes to build your playlists around—rather than just lumping a bunch of unrelated videos together in a list. Good tip. Even if you have straggler videos that you want to roll into a playlist to try and get more attention, you’ve got to be sensible about how you group your playlist vids together if you want them to have the maximum impact.

Attraction marketing with online videos

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 by shahar

Do you still need to be convinced in using online videos to attract more clients and sales?

I’ve compiled some more facts to you:

Online video marketing will help you a lot with traffic generation since some videos will rank in the search engines. People watching videos in different video sharing sites will also visit your site.

Because they rank in search engines, they will help you with search engine optimization.

Online video marketing will help you create more visibility across different social networks.

They will allow you in mobile marketing too.

Not to mention they create awareness for your brand and position you as an expert.

85% of the US population watches videos online.

There are over 79 different places where you can submit a video. Of course YouTube is the big player in this market.

Here a few more things on YouTube:

43% of US population watch videos on YouTube.

YouTube has 144 million viewers and 1/3 are americans.

The average person watches on average 100 videos a month, that is about 15 minutes a day.

YouTube provides content in 60 days in the same amount that took TV 60 years.

When you submit a video to YouTube you can at the same time post on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace etc.

Isn’t this the best time for you to start attracting more clients with online videos?
